Life Babble
Holy cow! Have you ever looked back on a month and wonder how the heck you survived? I'm happy to report that after a past month of grueling late nights filled with Starbucks, lemon cake, blood, sweat, and tears, I've managed to make it through the storm of assignments to finish the better part of my Masters of Art program (with straight A's)! I couldn't have done it without the loving support of my friends who always helped me to keep my eye on the prize, particularly when I was feeling down or unmotivated. I couldn't have done it without lovely ladies like *kdeln and *Zephyri cheering me on constantly, or the brain breaks with =windfalcon and Naruto anime-watching procrastination ("Sasuke-kun! Aaaooh!"). It's really been a special year and I can't believe it's gone so fast.

I'm a Masters graduate now...FINALLY...after 9 years in school and 2 Bachelors degrees. I'm overqualified for just about any job now

I'm going to miss being at SCAD around so many creative minds and having the ability to bother =windfalcon whenever I want to. But the best thing about being an alumnus is I can sneak around the building and not get arrested! AND bum their equipment. So perhaps SCAD has not seen the last of me?

There's still so much more I wish I could've learned and that I didn't have the chance to do there, but the next part of my life is going to be dedicated to learning by doing. I have a thesis paper to write before I'm awarded my full degree, but after that, my plans for a studio, a nonprofit dedicated to visual artists, an illustrated book, and many more schemes are being laid as we speak. I've already been asked to join a board of a fellow artist association and I am so excited to experience more!

Catching Up
Before I get too far ahead of myself, however, I'll be finishing up as many art trades, previous commissions, and kiriban prizes that have been backing up for so long now. You guys have been so kind and patient with me and I will not disappoint you. After that, I'm hoping to really get on the ball for preparing art for Dragon Con.

What was that about a commission sale?
Yup yup I still want to do this and plan to unleash the Commission Commotion in the next few weeks. The way it will work is I will release a limited number of commission slots for different types of commissions (ie. fantasy transformation portraits, character portraits, and others) at a discounted price. To top it all off, I hope to have some Limited Edition print auctions and one almighty commission auction to finish the affair. The higher the price goes, the bigger and better the commission will be! If the commission auction is popular enough, there may be a 2nd one. We will see how it goes!

I'm looking forward to really getting my feet wet with art again. I have been away from what I love for far too long, and I have come back even more well-equipped to succeed in my dreams. I'm really excited to give the world all I got!

But first...time to find a part-time job XD
